Front Access IO ports also means that any PCI Card that is installed will be accessable from the front of the server instead of the rear in all cases.
The Design of the Server is almost back to front, as though the system has been designed the wrong way around. but this can benefit alot of customer that need easy access to the rear I/O Ports.
It is usually quite awkward to get aroung to the back of a Server, especially when it is installed in a rackmount cabinet. This design makes access very easy.
Hot Swap Hard drive bays are also available either at the front or rear dependin on the model.
